April is slipping away.
I just wasted an hour. Squandred it wantonly. Most days this would not make a bit of difference to me. But as we were wrapping up the bridge game today, W-- announced to his 'family', us, that there's not an easy fix for the medical problems he's having. You see, he's got several annurisms in his bypasses. The doctors seem to have just thrown up their hands, and said, "you're walking around fine... keep walking." I wonder if it's as easy for W-- to waste an hour as it is for me? Of course any day, any hour may be the last of our allotment, but for the most part we stuff that unpleasant truth away and don't look at it. I hope W-- can see the world greening with spring and be glad. Please God, cradle him in your hand.Or maybe he can make a post card confession, and send it to Post secrets... fun! What would I put on that postcard?
Oh? Now we're back to the ice age? They were predicting that twenty years ago, before global warming hysteria became all the fashion. The article caught my interest yesterday. Now the global warming lobby is crying foul. Since I can't know the way the climate of the world will play out, let them argue. Just don't use my money to subsidize the debate.
Yup, I'm still enjoying turning everything in sight into kaleidoscopes. My computer is groaning under the memory strains.

Sometimes the new photo is more fetching than the original.

Re: April is slipping away.
Ah, you only wasted an hour playing kaleidoscope? You are more disciplined than I. And, yes, my hard drive is filling up with saved K-images. Today I spent about 3 hours trying to design a workable quilting design for my Hydrangea quilt which is coming right along. Just a matter of putting the sashed blocks together and adding the outer borders. Yea!!!
Global Warming? Global Dimming? Impending Ice Age? Who knows for sure but surely what we humans do to the planet can't be good in the long run. US history shows pretty clearly that the idea of unlimited resources is untrue. There used to be a lot of natural things in our country that are vastly reduced or entirely gone because our forefathers thought the resources were so vast they would never be used up. Or, maybe they didn't think. I don't know and probably none of us can know for sure but it seems reasonable to me to reduce my negaive impact on the environment as much as is possible. It certainly can't hurt.

Re: April is slipping away.
Gretchen, in Seattle, is doubting the global warming theory as well. There, it has snowed twice in the past 2 weeks. Working on the border! Deb says she's sending mine on next week. I can hardly wait!
