Blessings of the day

Just a note before falling asleep. I associate the phrase “blessings of the day” with my grandfather. Let me recite a few of the blessings of this day.

I rose from my bed this morning unassisted. One of our bridge group died after a surgery.

The club bridge game went forward in spite of a national tournament in New Orleans.

Two of the three grands were here a bit today.

I’ve had some little time to myself, a scarce comodity of late.

I’m making a little progress toward getting my computer back the way I want.

Any blessings you’d care to name?

    I’m getting stronger every day.
I actually slept through the night . Yay!

I got my computer to recognize you as “against the wind”, so I can have my daily Swift again.

    Who died?

Found you under Against The Wind. Great blessings are upon me today, and given that Jeremy was laid off (along with 28 others in the last 3 weeks from that company), I’ll take any blessing I can get.

“Give yourself a pat on the back, a pat on the back,
Say to yourself, here’s jolly good health,
    I had a good today.

Yesterday was full of joy and sorrow,
No one knows what’s going to happen tomorrow,
SO….give yourself a pat on the back,
    a pat on the back,
    Say to yourself,
    Here’s jolly good health,
    I had a good day, t’day!

With all my love to my G’ma Faye Brewster (Ida Faye Stewart), and her Mom, Addie Howell, who was born in 1865. She came in a conestoga wagon to Kansas, and I will for eternity be grateful. I LOVE these wind swept plains.

    Sara
